Surgical management of gigantiform osteoma of angle causing facial deformity

چکیده

Osteoma is a rare, benign lesion wherein deposition of newly formed bone results in tumor mass. Variants osteomas can develop either as peripheral mass arising from the periosteum or central endosteum. Peripheral ones are usually asymptomatic and larger lesions primarily cause facial asymmetry. Central osteoma, most cases cortical expansion root displacement some. pose diagnostic dilemma need to be discriminated other similar such condensing osteitis, odontoma, ossifying fibroma, osteoblastoma. Isolated single non-syndromic whereas, multiple hallmark features Gardner syndrome. Craniofacial bones paranasal sinuses jawbones frequently affected, although rare soft tissues have been reported. This presentation osteoma angle mandible region young patient which was managed by intraoral approach.
